Local Iowa Affiliate Mediacom Cuts the Cubs Feed in the 12th Inning
While the Cubs pulled it out in 15 innings, fans watching on Mediacom's channel 74 in eastern Iowa were cut off at 9:30pm CT--in the 12th inning. The channel switched to a live feed of ESPN News, causing thousands of Cubs fans to hit the radio. No luck there: Local station 800 AM, who usually play every Cubs game, were broadcasting an Iowa Hawks baseball game instead. Thank Zod for MLB.com's live audio!
Well, at least Mediacom sent me an apology letter stating that they would look into why the game was cut off so that similar situations could be avoided in the future. How about NOT SHUTTING OFF LIVE SPORTS FEEDS DURING THE GAMES?
